Nestbook

Privacy policy

Last updated: 29 October 2026

Nestbook ("the app") is developed by Bogdan Heutschi ("we"). This policy explains what data the app handles and why.

What we collect

We do not collect your location, contacts or any other data on your device. On Android the app reads photos only through the system photo picker or camera app, when you choose to. On iPhone it uses the photo picker and camera the same way and, if you allow photo library access, reads the photos taken around a month birthday and their dates to show them for you to choose from; they stay on your phone until you pick one. Finding faces to crop a photo and cutting children out of their photos for collages happen on your phone: on Android with Google ML Kit, through Google Play services, on iPhone with Apple's Vision framework. The photos are not sent to Google or Apple for this. Google Play services may send Google anonymous usage and performance data about these features. Reminder settings stay on your phone.

How we use it

Only to run the app: storing and showing your children's months, syncing them between your devices and the people you share with, sending reminders, and fixing crashes. We do not show ads, sell data or share it with anyone for their own purposes.

Who can see your data

Only your signed-in account and the people you share your family with. Sharing works with verified email addresses only. You can remove someone at any time, and people can leave a family shared with them.

Where it is stored

In Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore and Cloud Storage), operated by Google as our service provider. Data is encrypted in transit.

Keeping and deleting your data

Your data is kept until you delete it. You can delete your account and all its data in the app under Settings → Delete account; this removes your children, months and photos right away, also for the people you shared them with. Without the app, see how to request deletion; we delete it within 30 days. Crash reports and analytics are kept by Firebase for its standard retention period and are not linked to your children's data.

Children

The app is meant for parents. It is not directed at children, and children should not use it themselves.

Changes and contact

We will update this page when the app changes. Questions: simplebabytracker.app@gmail.com.
